Mark Tamis, senior vice president of guest operations for Carnival Cruise Lines, said:
“Our youth and family programming continues to be highly rated and extremely popular with the millions of families who sail with Carnival, but we’re constantly challenging ourselves to uncover unique and interesting ways to further enhance our guest experience.
“We are thrilled to bring the fun, whimsical and wonderful world of Dr. Seuss to life for our guests of all ages to create even more fun and memorable moments during our cruise holidays.”
Guests can choose to join a Dr. Seuss themed dining experience with The Green Eggs and Ham Breakfast with the Cat in the Hat and Friends featuring playful food from Dr. Seuss’ imagination – green eggs and ham, moose juice plus colourful fruit and pancake stacks (available every day, $5pp).
There will be special showings of movies like The Cat in the Hat and Dr. Seuss’ How the Grinch Stole Christmas on the outdoor Seaside Theater.
On Carnival Vista, which debuts in early 2016, and Carnival Freedom there will be a new Dr. Seuss Bookville facility, a play space dedicated to the much loved character.
Carnival Splendour will be the first ship to implement the Carnival Seuss at Sea program in February 2014.
