Celebrity Cruises will base a second ship out of the UK next year which will sail to the Baltic and Norwegian fjords.

The 1,950-passenger Celebrity Infinity will be based out of Harwich in Essex and offer 10-, 11- and 12-night cruises throughout the 2013 sailing season.

Celebrity has also announced an exclusive partnership with leading wine expert Oz Clarke and wine merchants Vinopolis.

Infinity is one of the four Celebrity ships that have undergone a $140m refurbishment programme to introduce many of the features on its more modern ‘Solstice-class’ ships.

This includes new spa inspired AquaClass accommodation paired with the exclusive healthy-eating specialty restaurant Blu, an ice-topped Martini bar, an Italian coffee shop and gelateria Café al Bacio and the award-winning Qsine; the novel restaurant first introduced to Celebrity Eclipse.

Infinity will join Eclipse, which will sail for a fourth season out of Southampton.

The link-up with Clarke will take place this October on a 12-night cruise to Europe’s top wine regions on board Celebrity Constellation.

Whilst onboard guests will have the chance to get up close and personal to some of Europe’s best vintages, enjoy exclusive Vinopolis wine masterclasses with Oz Clarke and learn about the range of wine styles and grape varieties in the regions visited.

It marks the start of ‘immersive Europe wine cruises’ on offer throughout this autumn.

Next summer will mark Celebrity’s biggest ever season in Europe with four further ships – Celebrity Constellation, Celebrity Equinox, Celebrity Silhouette and the new Celebrity Reflection, debuting in October 2013 – all joining Celebrity Infinity and Celebrity Eclipse.
