Celebrity Cruises and XBoxCelebrity Cruises will offer Xbox 360 and Xbox Kinect on all their ships this summer, with the full Xbox experience to be rolled out across the fleet by the end of the year, including dedicated Xbox spaces on board.

Celebrity Constellation was the first of Celebrity Cruises’ 10 ships to introduce the complete on board Xbox experience when it re-entered service on May 5 2013, after completing its scheduled drydock – with an eye on the family summer holiday market. There are new Xbox consoles within the Fun Factory kids’ club and X Club teen venue along with free play on Xbox 360 and Kinect for Xbox 360.

Adults can also get involved, with both free play and scheduled themed events including Zumba parties and sports tournaments.

“As a premium holiday brand, Celebrity Cruises is dedicated to providing guests with what they want during their sailing, whether relaxation, entertainment or staying connected – it’s readily available,” said Greg Purdy, Celebrity Cruises’ SVP of Operations.

“Joining existing offerings like the Celebrity iLounge, an up-to-date approach to the standard Internet lounge and the first Authorised Apple® Specialist at sea, the Celebrity Xbox experience expands our technology offering with even more engaging ways for the whole family to enjoy a modern luxury holiday.”
