MSC Cruises are offering a selection of cruises to the United Arab Emirates and Oman from the vibrant city of Dubai with a host of mall and souk excursions.
Cruise holidays on MSC Lirica, from 23 November 2013 to 29 March 2014, will include 18 eight-day cruises from Dubai, calling at Abu Dhabi and Khor al Fakkan in the United Arab Emirates and Muscat and Khasab in Oman, with an overnight stay in Dubai.
The cruises from Dubai are aimed at shopaholics looking to explore the eclectic mix of decadent malls and bustling souks of the region and include a wide range of shore excursions.
The Retail Therapy, Dubai Style excursion includes the Souk Madinat before visiting two of the world’s largest shopping centres: the Mall of the Emirates and the Dubai Mall – which boasts an Olympic-sized ice rink, huge aquarium and the Dubai Fountain display.
Guests can experience a spectacular 360-degree view of Dubai from the 124th floor of the world’s tallest building on the Dubai At Night From The Burj Al Khalifa excursion, which also includes the Dubai Mall.
For a more traditional shopping experience there’s the Al Ain: An Oasis Of A Town excursion in Abu Dhabi, which visits the historical “Garden City” of Al Ain and the camel market – but the Abu Dhabi Mall and The Galleria at Sowwah Square are nearby.
Plus, guests can enjoy the ancient port of Muscat in the Muttrah Souk offering typical Omani souvenirs and jewellery.
For a touch of glamour, guests can join the Panoramic City Tour & High Tea At The Burj Al Arab Hotel excursion including traditional British high tea at the world’s only seven-star hotel.
The Dubai Shopping Festival, renowned all over the world for great deals and promotions, can be enjoyed by guests choosing Emirates itineraries between 2 January and 2 February 2014.
With return flights from Emirates MSC guests will enjoy spacious seating and a generous 30kg baggage allowance.
