Aka The Mirror’s cruise expert Captain Greybeard – has been a journalist all his working life and has spent more than 40 years on national newspapers. Since he left his desk job in 2009 to concentrate on travel writing he has spent more than a third of each year at sea on ships of all sizes

Sara Macefield is an award-winning journalist who has written about travel for more than 20 years. The cruise industry is one of the areas she specialises in and she writes on the sector regularly for national newspapers including the Daily and Sunday Telegraph, The Times and the Daily Express.

Edinburgh-born Gary Buchanan has been a travel writer for over 20 years. He has been a specialist cruise writer for 12 years contributing to The Times; Food & Travel; American Express Departures and Centurion as well as other cruise publications.

Sue Bryant

Sue Bryant covers cruising for magazines, newspapers, radio, TV and websites worldwide, having specialised in the subject for more than 15 years. She has sailed on dozens of ships, from tiny expedition vessels to river cruisers, to the largest megaships afloat today.
