Cunard has announced details of its biggest-ever programme for its current fleet on sailings taking place between May and December 2017.

Angus Struthers, Cunard Director, said: “Our 2017 main programme is the biggest Cunard has planned for its iconic three ship fleet. The Cunard experience itself will also be stronger than ever with our flagship Queen Mary 2 having been newly remastered and Queen Victoria fresh from its refit at the end of its World Cruise.”

An extensive and flexible Mediterranean fly-cruise programme will be available on Queen Victoria between July to November 2017, covering the Western, Central and Eastern Mediterranean regions.

Queen Elizabeth will offer 30 round trip Southampton cruises taking in the Mediterranean, Atlantic Islands, Western Europe, Northern Europe, including the Norwegian Fjords, and the Caribbean.

Highlights for 2017 include Queen Mary 2 being the special guest at celebrations in Le Havre to mark the city’s 500th anniversary, and the flagship participating in Kiel Week, the largest annual sailing event in the world.

In addition, 2017 will see two special Cunard celebrations marked – the 10th Birthday of Queen Victoria and the 50th anniversary of the launch of QE2 in September 2017.

Special themed voyages include Queen Mary 2‘s Transatlantic Fashion Week (29 August); Queen Mary 2’sWorld Space Week (6 October); Queen Elizabeth’s Arts and Literary Tour of the British Isles (1 July); Queen Victoria’s Festival of Flowers (8 June); and Big Band Balls for lovers of music and dance on board Queen Victoria and Queen Elizabeth.

Cunard continues to be only cruise line offering a regular Atlantic service – something it has done for 176 years – and in 2017 there will be 22 transatlantic crossings on the world’s only ocean liner, Queen Mary 2.

The new 2017 programme goes on sale on 6 April 2016.
