Russell Watson for web 3

What’s your favourite place in the world?

Home in the UK. No matter where I go, and I’ve been to some amazing places, there’s no better feeling when you’ve been overseas than flying in to home, and seeing the green tapestry, and thinking, oh I’m back.

If you could be anywhere in the world right now where would you be?

Sydney in Australia. And if I could live anywhere else it would be there too. It’s so cosmopolitan, not overcrowded, the beaches are wonderful and the summers are hot. And the winters are chilly, so you get the seasons which is something I like.

Who was your favourite singer growing up?

Paul Weller from The Jam when I was a kid. And then Pavarotti who I was privileged to know.

What is you favourite food?

I do like a nice steak and kidney pie.

The late Pope John Paul II. He is soon to be canonized too. So in a couple of years time, it would be fair to say I have shook hands and talked with a saint. And I have a letter from him which I framed.
