Royal Caribbean International’s newest ship, Harmony of the Seas, will be launching in April 2016
Royal Caribbean have revealed details its newest cruise ship, Harmony of the Seas, launching in April 2016.
The third in the Oasis class of ships, it will feature the seven distinct “neighbourhoods” design concept the class is famous for, as well as three giant multi-story water slides that twist and turn over a Central Park area ten decks below – a first for the cruise line.
Holidaymakers will be able to enjoy even larger stateroom categories, with exclusive new areas for suite guests, and experience robot bartenders in a new Bionic Bar, RFID luggage-tracking technology and Royal WOWBands for passenger access to staterooms and for making on board purchases, as well as the fastest Internet connections at sea.
Harmony of the Seas will also feature new speciality restaurants and Royal Caribbean’s ‘Dynamic Dining‘ concept offering fare as varied as eating in the world’s most cosmopolitan cities, while those preferring a more traditional dining experience can opt for a “Classic” option offering set dinner times and the same assigned waiting staff.
The first two Oasis class ships, Oasis of the Seas and Allure of the Seas, made waves in the cruise industry when they debuted in 2009 and 2010, respectively, and are by far the largest cruise ships currently afloat, filled with dozens of eateries, bars, showrooms and deck-top fun zones.
