Pitbull christens Norwegian Escape with larger than life performance
International music star Pitbull has become the first godfather to a cruise ship when he officially named Norwegian Cruise Line‘s newest and biggest vessel in its fleet, Norwegian Escape, at a naming ceremony in Miami on Monday.

Following performances from the casts of Norwegian Escape’s onboard Tony Award-winning Broadway shows After Midnight and Million Dollar Quartet, Miami native Pitbull took to the stage with a selection of his hits including Don’t Stop the Party, Fireball and Give Me Everything.

Norwegian Escape represents a major moment for us – this is a true evolution of our brand,” said Andy Stuart, Norwegian Cruise Line’s President and Chief Operating Officer. “Not only does it offer high calibre entertainment, quality dining and luxurious accommodations that significantly raise the bar for our fleet and puts Norwegian Escape in a class of its own, but it exemplifies our renewed commitment to offering unparalleled freedom and flexibility to our guests.”

Norwegian Escape will now sail seven-night Eastern Caribbean cruises departing every Saturday from Miami beginning this Saturday 14 November 2015.
