Uncover the magnificent cities and towns along the scenic waterways of the Rhine and the Danube on board Titan Travel’s exclusive charter MS Serenade 1
Truly inspiring river cruises that capture the imagination and offer unforgettable memories can be found with Titan Travel. They are well known for crafting a range of expertly planned sailings for all types of cruisers, and in March the choice on offer becomes even greater with the arrival of MS Serenade 1.
You can expect modern comforts on the exclusively chartered vessel, which will ply the idyllic rivers of the Rhine and the Danube. A brand new venture for Titan, the 136-guest ship has undergone refurbishment this winter to further enhance the wonderful ambience on board.
Much like the tranquility of the rivers it sails on, the four-star vessel offers a relaxed atmosphere where you can take your time to enjoy the beautiful river scenery as it passes by. Some of the best places to soak it all in is in the lounge bar or the restaurant over a sumptuous dinner. And, with French balconies on the upper and middle deck cabins affording space and picturesque views, there is also no reason why you can’t simply take in the sights from the comfort of your own cabin. Amenities across all cabins include a shower with a separate bathtub, a telephone, twin beds, tea and coffee-making facilities and a safety box.
Elsewhere on MS Serenade 1 there is a fitness room with a sauna, a library and boutique, while highly trained chefs will rustle up a selection of hot and cold meals available throughout the day at the informal and elegant dining room.
One of the allures of river cruising is being able to get close to the heart of the action at the various ports of call, and sailing with Titan on board MS Serenade 1 is no different.
The 10-day Springtime on the Rhine itinerary, from £1,679pp, allows you to follow the course of the river from Amsterdam to Basel. Your journey begins with two days exploring the distinctive heritage of the Dutch capital, then sailing through the country’s breathtaking scenery. Calls include Arnhem, famed for being the site of a major Second World War battle. Here you can visit The Airborne Museum and take a guided tour of this sizeable city. Other calls include Cologne with its striking museum, Strasbourg, home to the European Parliament, and historic Koblenz.
Another delightful sailing is the 10-day A Journey Along the Danube with Prague, from £1,629pp. The Bavarian city of Passau is the first port of call, followed by the splendour of UNESCO-protected Wachau Valley as you sail through to call at Melk with its magnificent Benedictine abbey, then Durnstein, one of the prettiest towns along the Danube, nestled among verdant vineyards. Other highlights include Regensburg and Nuremberg, where the cruise ends. A two-night hotel stay in the beautiful Czech capital of Prague completes your voyage, allowing you time to marvel at its architecture, grand castle and charming public squares.
Both cruises include a welcome buffet, cocktail and evening gala dinner, some included meals, a dedicated tour manager and Titan’s VIP door-to-door travel service, which picked up gold for Best Product or Service at the Cruise International Awards 2016, allowing you to travel in complete comfort at the start and end of your wonderful river cruise.
