As a thank you for being voted ‘Best Cruise Line’ at the British Cruise Awards, for a fifth year in a row, Princess Cruises is offering readers the opportunity to win a seven-night sailing on board Sapphire Princess.

One lucky winner and their guest will win a Norwegian Fjords voyage on the 2,670-guest cruise ship, departing round trip from Southampton on 18 May 2019 in a balcony stateroom.

With ports of call like Bergen, Hellesylt and Geiranger, you’ll have the opportunity to experience the stunning scenery of the deep-blue fjords, cascading waterfalls and perfect snow-capped mountains throughout your voyage.

Perched between the sea and seven hills, Bergen has played a crucial role in Norwegian history and culture since Olav the Good founded the city in 1070. The city has witnessed Vikings setting sail on voyages of exploration, trade and war, and still retains much of its historic charm. The most visited of Bergen’s Seven Mountains, Mount FlØyen is easily experienced via a funicular that travels to the mountaintop, with incredible views.

The next port of call is the tiny village of Geiranger which leads to Geirangerfjord. Over 900-feet deep, it cuts nine miles into Norway’s mountains and is lined by sheer cliffs and waterfalls, such as the Seven Sisters and Bridal Veil Falls.

Hellesylt is your gateway to the spectacular scenic wonders of the Geirangerfjord district, followed by Olden, a small pleasant village at the end of the Nordfjord, which at 66 miles is the sixth longest fjord.

The final destination on your cruise will be Stavanger, Norway’s fourth largest city, which lies at the mouth of the beautiful Gandsfjord. Old Stavanger is believed to be home to Europe’s largest collection of wooden buildings and one of the shore excursions on offer include a cruise on a watercraft along the majestic Lysefjord, considered one of the most beautiful fjords in all of Norway, with rock walls falling almost vertically 1000m down into the water below.

With two days at sea you will also have the chance to enjoy a vast range of facilities on board Sapphire Princess, that have been specially designed to help you relax, unwind and indulge as you travel the world. The onboard spa offers a range of treatments while The Sanctuary, an exclusive and blissful adults-only retreat, offers a relaxing alternative to the myriad of outdoor activities and entertainment available on board.

There is a range of dining options including both a speciality steakhouse and a speciality Italian restaurant. Guests will also be able to indulge in culinary experiences inspired by Norwegian flavours.

In the evenings there is endless entertainment featuring guest performers and original musical productions in the Princess Theatre, or alternatively you may prefer to snuggle under a blanket, with a drink, and watch Movies Under The Stars with a box of popcorn.

Each stateroom is equipped with the Princess luxury bed, created exclusively for the world’s leading premium cruise line, so that you can come back refreshed and completely rejuvenated.
