Royal Caribbean’s newest ship, Allure of the Seas, reveals new entertainment and dining features before its December debut. The launch will make it the biggest ship in the world along with sister ship Oasis of the Seas.
A major new addition to entertainment on board is the 3-D Movie Screen in 1,380 seat Amber Theatre, a first for Royal Caribbean. Other new features include Apple Ipod docks in each stateroom, so guests can set their own holiday soundtrack.
For live entertainment, the ship will present West End and Broadway hit musical, Chicago, the second Tony Award-winning musical that Royal Caribbean debuts at sea.
Two new culinary additions are added to the boardwalk: Rita’s Cantina and The Boardwalk Dog House. Rita’s Cantina , combining food from Mexican beach bars and Southern California’s legendary taquerias, offers a huge selection of margaritas. The Boardwalk Dog House is an outdoor hot-dog speciality counter serving wieners, brats sausages and traditional style hot dogs.
One of the world’s most recognizable fashion labels, Guess, will also debut its first flagship store at sea on the Royal Promenade. The latest handbags, wallets, watches, shoes, jewellery, eyewear and perfumes can be purchased.
Also new to the Royal Promenade are guests services kiosks allowing printing and emailing of the SeaPass folio, check-in and airline boarding passes.
Allure of the Seas makes its maiden cruise on December 12. It will alternate a Western Caribbean with an Eastern Caribbean seven-night voyage from Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.
