Norwegian Escape to offer branded experiences from leaders in dining and beverage, music and the all-new Supper Club
Norwegian Cruise Line has announced partnerships with leaders in the fields of dining, beverage and entertainment to feature on board Norwegian Escape.
The new ship will include several culinary experiences, along with two Tony Award-winning musicals, and a unique Supper Club, when it begins sailing from its homeport of Miami in November 2015.
Food on board will be helmed by James Beard, Jose Garces and Miami restaurateurs Jose Mendin, Andreas Schreiner and Sergio Navarro of The Pubbelly Restaurant Group.
Two new speciality restaurants include Bayamo, featuring Latin dishes with a heavy Cuban-influence in a chic dining room and al fresco dining on The Waterfront, and the Pincho Tapas Bar, which will offer traditional Spanish tapas with dishes prepared on an authentic la plancha grill in front of guests.
Sugarcane Mojito Bar will complete the space and serve as an entry to Bayamo serving mojitos and rum-based cocktails to guests in a tropical setting.
Brand new concept Food Republic will be a modern, upscale food emporium featuring cuisine, with flavours ranging from Asia to Central Europe and the Mediterranean, all available à la carte.
In addition there will be new concepts The District Brewhouse, featuring more than 50 different bottled beers and gastro-pub dining from Wynwood Brewing Company, and The Cellars, A Michael Mondavi Family Wine Bar, featuring an array of immersive wine experiences in the company of a Court of Master Sommeliers-certified Sommelier.
Norwegian Escape’s dining and entertainment will include the first-ever floating Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville restaurant and Miami’s oldest and most legendary bar, Tobacco Road.
For entertainment, guests can experience three new shows, including Tony Award-winning Broadway musicals After Midnight and Million Dollar Quartet, along with a new Supper Club concept. Exclusive to Norwegian Escape, For The Record presents Dear John Hughes, featuring classic soundtracks from favourite films in a 360° post-modern cabaret and dinner experience.
The Headliners Comedy Club will also offer up top comedians through the line’s expanded partnership with Levity Entertainment Group, the world’s largest producer of live comedy.
“With Norwegian Escape, we are transforming culinary experiences at sea and continuing our legacy of innovation that has revolutionised dining in the cruise industry,” said Drew Madsen, Norwegian Cruise Line’s President and Chief Operating Officer. “Norwegian also continues to pave the way as a leader in entertainment, as we bring two Tony Award-winning Broadway musicals and a post-modern cabaret direct from Los Angeles to Norwegian Escape.”
