Azamara adds golf voyages and destination-focused sailings for 2024

Azamara has revealed more golf and single-country sailings as part of its new Europe itineraries for 2024
The line’s Country Intensive voyages make up more than half of the collection – accounting for 53 of the 84 newly announced sailings – with many late-night or overnight port calls to ensure guests can spend more time exploring each destination.
Fifteen golf itineraries also feature thanks to a partnership with international golf operator PerryGolf. They include a 12-night British Isles sailing that takes in the final two days of the 152nd Open at Royal Troon; a 12-night South Africa voyage that includes the chance to play five rounds at the East London Golf Club and a Jack Nicklaus signature course in the Franschhoek wine region; and a golf cruise around New Zealand and Australia.
Azamara president Carol Cabezas said: “Our Country Intensive voyages have continually proven to be a guest favourite with increased bookings throughout 2022, so we are pleased to offer even more options for our guests to discover all these incredible European countries have to offer.
“With unique new ports and plenty of late stays and overnights, we encourage guests to explore each destination at their own pace and travel off the beaten path, and our new ‘Lens of a Local’ video series can help our guests get immersed even before they board the ship.”
The Lens of a Local videos offer a glimpse of the available excursions, focusing on local artisans and traditional crafts that guests can experience on a shore excursion. They feature gondoliers in Venice, Greek dancers in Crete and a perfume maker in Florence, and will be shared via the line’s social channels in September.
Among the other firsts in the new range are a maiden call at Taranto in Puglia, Italy; a return to the seafaring city of Hamburg and a visit to Edinburgh during the annual Military Tattoo.
An early booking bonus offers 20% off certain 2024 European sailings, along with $300 in onboard credit, unlimited Wi-Fi and a premium drinks package. Find out more from Azamara.
