Carnival Cruise Lines has announced that Carnival Freedom will have a multimillion-dollar makeover this spring.
The Fun 2.0 features have proved popular already on board Carnival Breeze and Carnival Sunshine.
The Fun Ship 2.0 enhancements include a wide range of dining, bar and entertainment innovations alongside the popular ‘Seuss at Sea’ programme.
Carnival Freedom will be the first ship to debut the ‘Bookville’ area on board which is the unique highlight of ‘Seuss at Sea’. Bookville will be a dedicated play space themed around the whimsical world of Dr Seuss.
The extensive refurbishment will take place during a dry dock in Freeport, the Bahamas from 19 April to 3 May 2014.
Gerry Cahill, Carnival president and CEO said:
“With the debut of the first-ever Dr. Seuss Bookville area, along with an array of exciting dining, bar and entertainment concepts, we’re making a terrific ‘Fun Ship’ even better and creating a lifetime of wonderful vacation memories for guests of all ages.”
Carnival Freedom’s schedule from Fort Lauderdale encompasses two new five-day itineraries – one visiting Ocho Rios and Grand Cayman or Cozumel and the other calling at Grand Turk, Nassau and the private Bahamian island of Half Moon Cay.
