The ship, the largest in Carnival’s fleet with guest capacity for 3,936, will then sail to New York on 3 November 2016.
Speaking in New York Mark Tamis, Carnival’s senior Vice President of guest operations said: “Carnival Vista celebrates the connection to the oceans on which we sail and gives our guests amazing seascapes around every corner.”
Among the ship’s Mediterranean ports of call will be Athens, Greece; Civitavecchia for Rome; Corfu, Greece; Crete, Greece; and Palermo, Sicily.
Highlights on board Carnival Vista will be the world’s first IMAX at sea, an expanded water park featuring the Kaleid-O-Slide, the line’s first raft-riding water tube slide; and SkyRide, a suspended open-air cycling experience.
Carnival Vista will offer a wide variety of staterooms and suites in two classes, including the tropics-inspired Havana cabanas, which will have private outdoor patios.
The new Family Harbour accommodations can sleep up to five and have access to an exclusive Family Harbour hangout.
New dining options include the New England-inspired Seafood Shack, an indoor/outdoor venue.
