Celebrity Infinity is the next Millennium ship to get a refit with Solstice class features.

She follows Celebrity Constellation’s similar operation in May this year.

Solstice is Celebrity’s newest class with a USD $3.7-billion investment in place to build five Solstice class ships by 2012. Millennium is an older class of ships – the refits will bring the ships up to date with the modern features of their younger sisters.

The work on Infinity, scheduled for completion on 3 December 2011, will be an overhaul of the design, decor and entertainment facilities onboard. These include the addition of spa-inspired ‘AquaClass’ accommodation, restyled staterooms, new speciality restaurants and bars such as the Ice-topped Martini bar.

Celebrity’s President & CEO Dan Hanrahan commented:

“Everything we’ve introduced on our award-winning Solstice Class fleet, and everything we’re adding to our popular Millennium Class ships, is inspired by research into what is most important to guests on holiday.”

Celebrity Summit will be refitted in January 2012 and is followed by Celebrity Millennium in April 2012.

Bookings for Celebrity Infinity are open from Monday 22 November.
