Cunard Line

Cunard

Home of the most famous cruise liners in the world, wherever you travel with Cunard you can be certain about one thing: seeing the world’s wonderful places aboard an iconic Queen is an experience without equal.

Their cruise ships sail along the sunny coasts of the Mediterranean on one of the world’s most famous luxury ocean liners – just as royalty and celebrities have done for over a century and a half. There are voyages through the lush islands of the Caribbean, and itineraries sailing the Baltic Sea or the Norwegian Fjords and the Mediterranean.

Black-tie class
Cunard is the only line that operates a formal ‘class’ system, which will apply on Queen Elizabeth as it does on the other two ships, QM2 and Queen Victoria. The cabin grade you pay for determines which of four restaurants you are allocated.

This means that certain (although realistically, very few) areas of the ship are off-limits to those in the lower cabin grades, as they’re restricted to passengers in the suites, who get their own bar and lounge, dining rooms and private deck area. The system seems antiquated but passengers seem to accept it, and the restaurants associated with most expensive accommodation, Queens Grill and Princess Grill, still today represent some of the most elegant dining at sea.
