Luxury cruise line Hapag-Lloyd Cruises is offering itineraries devoted to art appreciation on board its ship Europa 2.
Guests can enjoy lectures and discussions with knowledgeable experts along with onshore guided visits to galleries, exhibitions and museums, including the Whitney Museum of American Art in New York.
On the art2sea 2016 cruise, renowned experts such as Dr Lisa Zeitz, editor-in-chief of Weltkunst magazine, Axel Rüger, director of the Van Gogh Museum, Thole Rotermund, art dealer and art historian, and Carola Persiehl, a gallery owner from Hamburg, will hold lectures and discussions with guests who are interested in art, providing an exciting look behind the scenes of the international art world.
The artist Rupprecht Matthies, whose works can be found on the Europa 2, will also be accompanying the cruise, along with an onboard artist who will be drawing live portraits.
