Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines has launched Fred.’s Enjoyment Promise this December to encourage holidaymakers to take a cruise for the first time.
Nathan Philpot, Sales and Marketing Director for Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines, said:
“According to research by Mintel last year*, 14% of adults in the UK had been on a cruise, with 24% considering taking one. So, if there are more people considering cruising – over 12 million adults – than have actually been on one, why are they not cruising?”
Fred. Olsen are offering people who are new to cruise the chance to try a holiday with Fred. Olsen, and if they don’t enjoy it they can fly back for free and receive a full refund*.
Nathan Philpot continues to say:
“Fred.’s Enjoyment Promise demonstrates the confidence that we have in our cruise holiday offering, and we hope that this confidence will encourage the millions of holiday-makers in the UK to give cruising a try with Fred. Olsen for the first time.”
If new guests decide that the Fred. Olsen cruise is not for them within 48 hours of stepping on board, they can inform Guest Relations and the cruise line will offer a full refund and pay for flights back to the UK.
The new promise is valid for bookings made between 2 December 2013 and 28 February 2014 for departures of more than 14 weeks ahead and does not apply to cruises of six nights or less, or with a duration of more than 35 nights.
Fred. Olsen is also producing a brochure called All-Inclusive Holidays dedicated to new-to-cruise passengers looking for their first cruise holiday.
The promise is part of Fred. Olsen’s wider Turn of Year cruise sale that also offers 10% off the brochure fares.
