We’ve got two new favourite brands this week, and we just have to tell you all about them!

Nighttime Skin Quencher

Kinara is the spa brand straight out of Hollywood, and luckily for us is now available in the UK. The Kinara Skin Care Clinic in West Hollywood is the go-to for stars such as Halle Berry.

Skin care expert, Olga Lorencin-Northrup, is the brainchild behind the brand. One of her mantras is ‘effective, not aggressive’; her product line was borne out of frustration with what was on the market.

Our favourite product from the range was the Nighttime Skin Quencher. This rich moisturizing serum is perfect to wear to bed after a day in the sun. It contains a potent blend of anti-oxidants and natural extracts of green tea, sugar cane, multifruit BSC, emollient shea butter and sunflower oil.

It comes in travel size, which means it easily fits into your make up bag and into your hand luggage. It was a really nice treat to put on after a flight to quench your skin after the air con tries to suck the life out of it.

Products are freshly packaged in clean fresh and sleek bottles and tubes. They look a bit ‘Hollywood’ and work like you would hope they would for their price tags.

Konjac Facial Group 11

The next new additions to our holiday make up bag are the Konjac face sponges. They are new to the UK and made with 100% Konjac plant root.

They sound odd, and for those of you that don’t use sponges to wash your face with, they feel a bit odd too the first time. However they are a lovely and welcome change to the usual face scrub or cleanser.

All you need to do is soak the sponge in water and wash your face with the wet sponge. They remove make up and gently exfoliate and leave your skin feeling soft and glowing; all ready for your next day of sun worshipping (with lots of SPF, mind) on board your cruise.

Our sponge of choice was the original version but they do also come with added bamboo charcoal or clay to help problem skin.

At only £6.99 too, I think we’ll be stocking up for summer.
