Hot Spot: Zakynthos, Greece
By Cruise International | 5 Jul 2013
Our latest Hot Spot is the third largest of the Ionian islands, Zakynthos (or Zante) – first mentioned by Homer in his masterpieces the Iliad and the Odyssey.
The most famous landmark on the island is Navagio beach, a cove on the southwest shore, with white pebbles and turquoise waters.
Also known as Shipwreck Bay, it is surrounded by cliffs, and accessible only by boat.
No wonder it’s acclaimed as one of the most romantic beaches in the world.
