‘The Cookery Club’ is the first cookery school on board a British cruise ship.
The new school will be open to 24 guests at a time and is the latest announcement in P&O’s step towards a food-orientated experience on board Britannia.
“I’m really excited about joining P&O Cruises in this brand new venture,” said James Martin.
“I’m absolutely delighted with the progress of The Cookery club, the plans look amazing and I think it will be a world-class space,” he added.
The cookery school will feature alongside award-winning patissier, Eric Lanlard‘s first solo venture at sea – a patisserie range in the Market Café on board.
In addition, Marco Pierre White, Atul Kochhar and Olly Smith will be lending their expertise to all culinary feats on board offering guests world-class cuisine throughout their cruise.
P&O Cruises marketing director Christopher Edgington said:
“We are incredibly honoured to have secured the services of the best chefs at sea. The addition of James Martin and Eric Lanlard on Britannia further enhances the already incomparable level of culinary excellence we are proud to offer across our fleet.”
The ship will depart for its maiden voyage on 14 March 2015 to the Mediterranean from Southampton.
