Norwegian Cruise Line has announced that it has ordered two new ships
Norwegian Cruise Line has ordered two new ships for delivery in 2018. The ships will be in the Breakaway-Plus class after the success of its two most recent ships, Norwegian Breakaway and Norwegian Getaway. Each ship will hold 4,200 passengers.
The Breakaway-Plus ships offer groundbreaking design in the new venues such as The Waterfront and 678 Ocean Place and others across the three decks.
Norwegian Cruise Line has pioneered the concept of Freestyle Cruising® on their ships, which has been a hit with guests. The concept offers guests more freedom and flexibility on board with relaxed dress codes and multiple dining venues.
“Norwegian Breakaway and Norwegian Getaway have proven themselves as industry game-changers and are extremely popular with our guests,” said Kevin Sheehan, Norwegian Cruise Line’s chief executive officer.
