Norwegian Cruise Line has announced it will offer regular cruises from England for the first time since 2010, with Norwegian Jade sailing from Southampton in summer 2017.
“We’re clearly demonstrating our commitment to our European customers, especially cruisers in the UK,” said Christian Boell, Managing Director Europe, Middle East and Africa for Norwegian Cruise Line. “Not only are we offering the possibility to embark in Southampton but we’re also bringing one of our newest and most innovative ships back to Europe, and we’re convinced that this will encourage continued growth in the UK market, where we have just seen record breaking guest numbers in 2015.”
Following a two-and-a-half-week dry dock, Norwegian Jade will arrive in the UK with a fresh new look to begin its regular cruises from Southampton on 12 May 2017.
Norwegian Jade will be one of five Norwegian Cruise Line ships sailing European waters between April and October 2017.
Norwegian Getaway will return to Europe and sail one eight- and a series of nine-night Baltic Capitals cruises from Copenhagen.
Norwegian Epic will arrive in Barcelona in April 2017 to begin its Europe season with a nine-night Canary Islands & Morocco cruise, before resuming its popular seven-night Western Mediterranean cruises.
Norwegian Spirit follows up its 2016/17 European winter cruises with alternating 11- and 10-night summer cruises in the Mediterranean.
And Norwegian Star will call Venice home for the summer following its return from Australia and will sail on alternating seven-night cruises to the Greek Isles and the Adriatic.
