So long ‘surfer chick’ brand, hello sleek summer style.
It seems Quiksilver is no longer a brand for teenage surfers but something we would be proud to flaunt on board our cruises. Their new range for Summer 2013 is full of elegant florals and white cottons. It has that breezy, summer beauty feel that makes you instantly feel set for your holiday.
Our favourite pieces are definitely the Pomona dress and the Bella Villa sandals, as above. The white cotton dress with lace detailing translates easily from beach to bar and the brown strapped sandals give it a classic finish.
Quiksilver women’s line was only launched in Autumn 2008. Steering away from the typical board shorts and surf market that these brands are well known for, the range was designed for the independent, young woman with the aim to bring a fashion sense to the world of surf. In 2010 after two years of post-launch success, they have expanded their female range and focused more on the beach and sophisticated style.
The summer collection, as you can see, showcases contemporary casual chic at its best. The soft, powdery colours are easy-to-wear and ever so SS13.
