Princess Cruises has announced it will bring Enchanted Princess to the UK in summer 2022, making it the line’s fourth ship to be based in Southampton this year

The ship, which joined the fleet in November 2021, will be the fourth Princess Cruises ship to be based in the UK port, alongside sister ship Sky Princess, Emerald Princess and Island Princess.

It will sail 13 new voyages of between four and 14 nights from Southampton to destinations including the Canary Islands, the Mediterranean, Scandinavia, Norway and Iceland.

Tony Roberts, vice president Princess Cruises UK and Europe, said: “Following on from the popularity of having two Royal-class ships based in Southampton last year, we are delighted to have two of our newest ships in the UK this summer.

“Bringing Enchanted Princess to Southampton is testament to the UK cruise market, as it shows that people are eager to sail with us and have memorable holidays at incredible value.”

The ship has capacity for 3,660 guests and all-inclusive balcony fares featuring the line’s premium drinks package, unlimited Wi-Fi and gratuities start at £499 per person for a five-night cruise to Belgium, the Channel Islands and the Netherlands, departing May 15.

Sailings are available to book now via a travel agent or by visiting the Princess Cruises website.

Princess has also confirmed its planned programme of activities to mark the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee on board its four Southampton-based ships. From June 2-5, the line will be showing live coverage on its 300-square-foot Movies Under the Stars screen so guests can watch the Trooping of the Colour, the thanksgiving service at Westminster Abbey, the Epsom Derby, Platinum Party at the Palace and the Jubilee Party.

Passengers can enjoy a Royal Afternoon Tea featuring Victoria sponge, Pimm’s and strawberries and a British-themed dinner menu, plus banners and bunting around the onboard piazzas. Sky Princess will also feature an array of entertainment including a Royal Variety Show-style performance including an Elton John tribute and a talk from Grant Harrold, former butler to the Prince of Wales.
