AMSTERDAM: Princess Anita von Hohenberg, the great-granddaughter of Archduke Franz Ferdinand, has named Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection’s new ‘super ship’, S.S. Maria Theresa, at a quayside ceremony in the Dutch capital.
The Princess said: “I am very very honoured and happy to be godmother to S.S. Maria Theresa, it is a beautiful responsibility.”
S.S. Maria Theresa was named after the much-beloved Maria Theresa, the Empress of the Holy Roman Empire who reigned from 1740 to 1780 as the only female member of the Hapsburg Empire. Princess Anita von Hohenberg comes from a long line of Hapsburgs.
The new ship takes the number of ships in the Uniworld Boutique River Cruise Collection to 22. For more on S.S. Maria Theresa click here.
