Seabourn has received the approval to begin sailing to Cuba from Miami and San Juan, Puerto Rico in 2019

Seabourn opened bookings today for Cuba itineraries on board Seabourn Sojourn, departing Miami on 4 November, 2019.

The addition of Seabourn’s sailings will help meet the growing demand for luxury travel experiences to Cuba. The cruise line has become Carnival Corporation’s third cruise brand currently approved to sail to Cuba.

“The Quest for new experiences and destinations is high on the travel agenda. Added to that Cuba is one of the most sought-after emerging destinations for many of our guests,” said Richard Meadows, president of Seabourn.

He continued, “Our guests and travel partners have been anxiously awaiting an ultra-luxury travel experience with a wider selection of destinations in this relatively undiscovered Caribbean treasure we are excited to finally be able to include Cuba in our itineraries. These Cuba itineraries aim to satisfy the curiosity of anyone who has considered visiting.”

Guests will be able to choose from four separate itineraries with five different departure dates. During the 11-, 12-, and 14-day sailings, the ship will visit five ports in Cuba, all of which will call at three or four on each itinerary, enabling guest’s the opportunity to discover the different regions on the island.

All five voyages will feature overnight stops in the historic capital city Havana, allowing guests time to explore the designated UNESCO World Heritage Site during its 500th anniversary year and immerse themselves in a wide array of historical and cultural experiences.

The deployment of the 458-guest Seabourn Sojourn to Cuba adds Seabourn to the historic launch of cruises to the island nation from the United States, by Carnival Corporation along with sister brands Fathom, Carnival Cruise Line, and Holland America Line.
