Royal Caribbean is opening the doors to Anthem of the Seas while the ship is docked in Southampton next year to give nervous flyers a preview of what their next holiday could look like.

Anthem-of-the-Seas

The tour on Anthem of the Seas is ideal for those who have never cruised before, as it will give a taster into what can be expected from a Royal Caribbean cruise, without actually having to book one.

It is also aimed at nervous flyers – the first 50 visitors who can prove they have a genuine phobia of flying will receive a complimentary lunch at one of the onboard restaurants.

Visitors attending an open day will be able to try out a range of exciting activities on board Anthem of the Seas.

For those who are not afraid of flying, Allure of the Seas which has had a £165m renovation is a short flight to Barcelona.

Among the most exciting new features on board Allure of the Seas are North Star, a jewel-like capsule that elevates guests into the sky for 360-degree views, and RipCord by iFLY, a ground-breaking simulator that recreates the thrill of skydiving.

There is also a surf simulator (FlowRider) and SeaPlex, the largest indoor activity space at sea. The futuristic zone is equipped with bumper cars, a circus school, table football and a roller-skating area.

Other new additions to the ship include a completely redesigned Adventure Ocean area for kids and teenagers, the first-ever Giovanni’s Italian Kitchen & Wine Bar and an original Quantum Class Music Hall.

Allure of the Seas will also welcome Ultimate Abyss, the tallest water slide at sea, as well as a trio of waterslides known as The Perfect Storm.

The ‘try before you buy’ experience will take place in May and September 2020.

To be one of the lucky 50 visitors to receive a free lunch on board Anthem of the Seas, email trybeforeyoubuy@wcommunications.co.uk with your full name and proof* you are scared of flying.
