Queen Victoria and Queen Mary 2 meet at unveiling of 175th anniversary photo exhibition in Sydney

Two of Cunard‘s Queens have met in Sydney at the unveiling of special outdoor photo exhibition, OneSevenFive, celebrating Cunard’s 175th anniversary.

Taking place on the forecourt of Sydney Opera House, the ceremony was the first time the ships had met in Sydney. Fireworks marked the moment when Queen Mary 2 passed Queen Victoria on its departure from port.

The OneSevenFive collection brings together 70 stunning images providing a rare look behind the scenes of the world’s most iconic cruise line.

The collection includes some famous images taken during maiden visits to Sydney Harbour, while many shots were captured during a 175-hour period late last year when photographer James Morgan travelled between the three ships in Europe and America, creating a visual record for the forthcoming anniversary.

Positioned on two-metre high stands along the Sydney Opera House’s western broadwalk, the free exhibition will be on show for 175 hours until late Thursday 19 March.
