Viking Cruises have made their mark on the RHS Chelsea Flower Show with their impressive Norse Garden
Viking Cruises are among the many gardens featured at this year’s horticultural extravaganza by the Royal Horticultural Society, the Chelsea Flower Show in London.
The ‘Viking Cruises Norse Garden’ was designed by Sadie May Stowell, an award-winning garden designer and landscape architect. This is the designer and her team’s debut at the Chelsea Flower Show.
The garden is designed to capture the Viking spirit of exploration and adventure and is designed around the prow of a Viking Longship which has been built by students at the Falmouth Marine School and authenticated by Gareth Williams, the curator at the British Museum.
The garden also features Nordic rune stones, traditional shields, weapons and drinking horns.
The garden has won a Silver Gilt Award in the Artisan Gardens category. The garden has been a hit with visitors – even Viking Godmother, Mary Berry, stopped by this morning to see the garden.
